General Rules
1. Games are 7 innings or 1 hour in length. No new inning may start after 50 mins.
2.Teams will determine home by who is last on schedule.
3. The home team fields first.
4. Each team kicks in an inning. Once 3 outs have been recorded a team’s "at-kick" is over. Once both teams have kicked, the inning is over.
5. A maximum of 10 players can take the field at one time with at least 4 females on defense. On offense you need at least 2 females to start the game. 1 out per missing female (up to 2 outs).
6. There is no limit to the number of team players in the kicking line-up. Captains may choose the kicking order, but the order cannot change during the course of the game unless there is an injury. Teams must kick male, female, male, female, etc. If you run out of females, no more than two males at a time can kick. Kicking out of order will result with an out. Any players that show up late must be added to the end of the lineup.
7. Neither leading off base, nor stealing a base is allowed. A runner may advance once the ball is kicked.
8. Hitting a runner’s neck or head with the ball is not allowed, except when the runner is sliding. Any runner hit in the neck or head shall be considered safe at the base they were running toward when the ball hits the runner. If the runner intentionally uses the neck or head to the block ball, or duck, the runner is out.
9. In cases of injury or illness, a time-out may be requested for participant removal and replacement with a teammate as a substitute. If the participant later returns to play, the participant must be inserted in the same written kicking order position previously held. If a player is ejected, injured, becomes ill and cannot continue, or leaves the game for any reason, the written kicking order will continue in the same formation, less the removed player. Only runners who are injured while traveling to a base, and who successfully make it to a base, may be substituted. There are no other allowable runner substitutions. The last recorded out must be the sub for the runner. A runner may be substituted no more than twice during the game. Upon the second substitution, the player will be removed from the game and no longer be allowed to participate.
10. When throwing the ball, if the ball bounces and still hits the runner, the runner is OUT.
11. When pitching, a maximum of 2 bounces is allowed. 4 balls advance the kicker to first base (or put in play). Pitchers are only allowed to use underhand style when pitching.
12. As the ball is rolled, only the pitcher can cross the fielding line to try to tag or catch the ball. Once the kicker makes contact with the ball, other fielders may cross the fielding line. (Pitcher can rush male or female). The catcher must always stay behind the kicker until the ball is kicked.
13. Kickers must kick the ball at or behind plate. First time will result in a warning (re-kick) while the second time will result in an out. A double kick will result in automatic out.
14. Teams are allowed first and third base coaches. Coaches may not interfere with play or physically assist the runners. Players not “at bat” and coaches must stay inside the dugout (along the outfield fence if to many players).
15. Any attempt to circumvent or go against the spirit of the rules will be at the ref’s discretion to rule on the appropriate action.
16. The referee’s call is the final decision in all matters on the field.
