Tucker Outdoors Club Day Trip: Anna Ruby Falls & Helen, GA
Event Overview
Get into the holiday spirit with the Tucker Outdoors Club as we head to the foggy, magical beauty of Anna Ruby Falls, followed by a festive stroll through the charming Alpine town of Helen, GA! This day trip is the perfect way to soak up some wintery vibes, enjoy scenic waterfalls, and explore holiday shops, lights, and treats.
The short paved trail to Anna Ruby Falls offers stunning views of twin cascading waterfalls—especially atmospheric in the cool December mist. After the falls, we’ll head to Helen to shop, snack, and enjoy the town’s holiday decorations.
Outing Information:
Date & Time: Sunday, December 7th — Meet at the Tucker Recreation Center (4898 Lavista Rd.) at 9:00 AM
Hiking Difficulty: Moderate
(0.9-mile paved trail to the falls)
There are a lot of stairs and the hike is all uphill!
What to Bring:
Comfortable walking shoes, warm layers, water, and money for lunch or holiday shopping in Helen.
Transportation: This is the Self Drive Option, Please meet us at the recreation center or at the hike spot in which we can email the address out before the hike
